Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under supervising RN; document administration promptly in the chart.
- Monitor patient status, perform routine vital signs, and report changes to the supervising nurse.
- Provide bedside nursing care, assist with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, and comfort measures.
- Assist with wound care and other routine nursing procedures within scope, following facility protocols.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and communicate care plans with the care team.
- Support care coordination during rounds, respond to call lights, and uphold patient safety and infection control standards.
Requirements
- Active Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (in good standing)
- Minimum 1 year of Licensed Practical Nurse experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour day shifts (06:00–18:30) on a rotating schedule
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
- Capability to pass background check and drug screen as part of the hiring process
- CPR/BLS certification is commonly required for LTC settings and preferred
