Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services to residents under the supervision and guidance of the supervising therapist
- Assess, select, and implement interventions to improve upper-extremity function, daily living activities, and overall independence
- Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, adjust therapy as needed, and document progress notes
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care and timely progression of goals
- Maintain accurate documentation, assist with discharge planning, and educate residents and caregivers on home programs
- Adhere to facility policies, infection control practices, and safety standards during all therapy sessions
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Current COTA certification
- Eligibility to work in a travel assignment at a skilled nursing facility
- Ability to fulfill a 35-hour workweek on a 08:00–16:30 shift
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred
