Travel Registered Nurse Postpartum Job
Registered Nurse – Postpartum in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Start date 06/23/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting. Weekly pay $2,554-$2,733 per week with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift: Nights, 7:00am–7:00pm (NO block scheduling). Unit: 5N Postpartum.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care for postpartum mothers and their newborns on the 5N Postpartum unit, including care after vaginal or cesarean deliveries.
- Monitor maternal and newborn status, perform routine assessments, and respond to changes in condition with timely escalation as needed.
- Administer prescribed IV medications and therapies, including IV antibiotics, IV magnesium intermittently, PRBCs, rhogam, and lovenox, following unit protocols.
- Support breastfeeding, newborn care, and maternal education; assist with discharge planning and caregiver instruction.
- Document care and interventions in the electronic medical record; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe patient flow and coordination of care.
- Adhere to unit policies for infection control, safety, and documentation; participate in ongoing unit training and orientation activities.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license; NURSYS verification pulled within the last 7 days.
- 1+ year of postpartum or acute care experience; travel experience preferred; local candidates within 50 miles may be considered at the local rate.
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications; lactation certification preferred.
- Flu vaccine required during season.
- EMR experience preferred; EPIC experience encouraged.
- Must be able to work on the 5N Postpartum unit and commit to every other weekend and every other major holiday; submission must include documentation of 2 recent Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references; up-to-date resume showing postpartum experience; RTO requested at submission and not guaranteed after confirmation.
