Travel Registered Nurse Postpartum Job
Registered Nurse – Postpartum in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Start date 06/23/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $2,526-$2,673 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: rotating schedule (2x3) covering day and night shifts. Setting: inpatient postpartum unit with a continuing care nursery.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns, including monitoring vitals, assessing for postpartum complications, and administering prescribed medications (IV antibiotics; IV magnesium intermittently; PRBC; rhogam; lovenox) per orders.
- Support newborn care, patient education on recovery and feeding, and discharge planning in collaboration with the care team.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR (EPIC) and uphold safety protocols and unit policies.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, lactation consultants, and other team members; participate in unit orientation and ongoing professional practice.
- No floating to other units required; comply with rotating schedule and be available for on-site coverage as needed; on-call coverage is not required, with volunteers to cover vacancies if needed.
- Adhere to vaccination requirements (flu vaccine during the season) and complete required on-boarding activities, including hospital-system orientation and unit orientation.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license (Nursys verification) with status current or conditional, pulled within the last 7 days.
- Current BLS and NRP certifications; lactation certification preferred.
- 1+ year of postpartum acute care nursing experience; travel experience required.
- Ability to work a 2x3 rotating schedule (day/night), including every other weekend and every other major holiday; flu vaccine required.
- Valid driver's license with address matching demographics; submission must include RTO requests at time of submission (not guaranteed after confirmation).
