Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job
Registered Nurse - PACU (Travel) in Westwood, New Jersey. Travel assignment starting 05/04/2026 for Weeks, with a 3x12-hour day shift and on-call requirements. Weekly pay range: 1,827–1,957 per week. No guaranteed hours. The role supports post-operative care in Phase I PACU / PACU-like settings for general surgery, orthopedics, ortho-spine, and robotic cases within a community hospital environment. This position excludes locals within a 50-mile radius.

Responsibilities
- Provide postoperative nursing care in Phase I PACU for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics after general surgery, orthopedics, spine, and robotic procedures
- Monitor airway status; perform intubation/extubation support and basic ventilator management
- Manage IV lines and arterial lines; administer IV vasopressors as ordered
- Support pain management, including PCA administration and post-epidural care
- Care for chest tubes and blood product administration as needed
- Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and other post-op complications; perform basic CPR if required
- Document patient status and care in the Epic charting system; coordinate with surgical and anesthesia teams
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
- Community hospital experience required
- Unit type: Post-operative/recovery (Phase I PACU / PACU-like)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Ability to work in a PACU/postoperative setting with appropriate patient ratios
- Willingness to work a 3x12-hour day shift schedule and participate in on-call coverage
