Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and data collection focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
- Deliver care using the Nursing Process, adhering to predetermined procedures, policies, and care plans.
- Identify learning needs of patients/significant others and provide defined patient teaching.
- Document care in the chart via electronic medical records and/or paper processes per policy and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate appropriate delegation of patient care activities and supervise assigned staff.
- May function as Charge Nurse, coordinating patient assignment, admits/discharges/transfers, and staffing coverage as needed.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and adherence to facility policies; uphold patient/family rights and dignity.
- Ensure professional growth and competency with ongoing education and safety practices.

Requirements
- Current Washington State RN licensure
- BLS (Healthcare Provider) within 30 days of hire; ACLS required within 6 months of hire; PALS or PEARS within 6 months of hire; CPAN certification preferred
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Experience: acute care RN experience preferred; minimum of 1 year RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments
- Ability to perform the full scope of RN responsibilities, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
- Total Joint Program requirements: 4 hours of orientation training and 4 hours of annual training
