Responsibilities
- Implement prescribed physical therapy plans of care under supervision of a licensed physical therapist, focusing on mobility, strength, balance, and functional activities for residents.
- Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, range of motion, and activities of daily living to promote independence.
- Monitor patient response to treatment; document progress and communicate changes to the supervising PT; adjust treatment plans as directed.
- Ensure patient safety during therapy sessions; maintain equipment and infection control practices; assist with positioning and device use as needed.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and nursing staff to coordinate care, track progress, and support discharge planning.
Requirements
- Active Montana Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Ability to work in a long-term care / skilled nursing facility setting
- Availability to start on 05/18/2026 and commit to a 13-week assignment
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow treatment plans under supervision
