Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an ICU environment, including neuro/med, CTICU, and trauma/surgical patients; monitor for critical changes and respond per protocol.
- Monitor hemodynamics, administer medications per orders, and perform ongoing patient assessments with timely escalation to the care team.
- Operate and monitor CRRT therapies (Prismaflex or NxStage), including setup, alarms management, troubleshooting, and collaboration with nephrology as needed.
- Manage specialty equipment and procedures such as ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, TTM (Artic Sun), and IABP support when indicated; participate in neuro and cardiothoracic care as assigned.
- Document all care and treatments in EPIC with accurate, timely charting; ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control standards.
- Floating required: provide care across ICU units as needed (excluding Behavioral and ER per assignment), maintaining readiness and consistency of care.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- ICU nursing experience: minimum 2 years; 4–5 years preferred
- EPIC EMR experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required; ability to float to other ICU units as needed
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics; RTO must be included at submission
