Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an ICU patient population according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; monitor vitals, hemodynamics, ventilation, sedation, pain, and safety.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation; ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance with policies.
- Respond to clinical changes in patient condition, initiate appropriate interventions, and escalate to the physician as needed.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure smooth flow of care.
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license (or eligibility for CA), in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification preferred or must be obtained within a designated timeline
- ADN or BSN degree from an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work 12-hour daytime shifts in a high-acuity ICU setting and participate in a travel assignment
