Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
ICU Registered Nurse – Travel assignment in Burlington, VT. Starts 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,366–$2,571. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 3x12 rotating. Setting: hospital ICU with Medical ICU responsibilities and overflow neuro care; may float to SICU and other ICU units within a large teaching facility.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct adult critical care nursing in the ICU, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Administer medications and therapies, and titrate multiple drips (vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics) per physician orders
- Monitor neurological status, document NIHSS assessments, and escalate changes promptly
- Manage complex devices and therapies (invasive lines, ventilators, CRRT, and other life-sustaining modalities) for patients with multi-system disease
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and document care in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate handoffs and adherence to protocols
- Maintain flexibility to float to SICU and other ICU units as assignment requires; uphold patient safety and infection control standards
Requirements
- Current active RN license in Vermont (or eligible for Vermont licensure) prior to start
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS required; NIHSS to be completed prior to start
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU/unit experience in a large, teaching facility
- Ability to start IVs, manage multiple titrating drips, and care for ventilated patients; experience with CRRT, IABP/ECMO, COVID, and complex drips
- Must be able to work in a high-acuity ICU environment and float to SICU/other ICUs as needed
- Prior travel experience required; reliable transportation is essential (public transit not available)
