Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Middlebury, Vermont, United States. Start date October 12, 2026 for 26 weeks. Weekly pay ranging from $2,664 to $2,805 per week with 0 guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Work setting: hospital Emergency Department.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department for newborn to geriatric populations, including assessment, monitoring, and timely intervention
- Perform triage, IV starts, venipuncture, medication administration, drips/infusions, and EKGs; ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with charge nurse, physicians, and mid-level providers; participate in care planning and patient handoffs
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record and Pyxis medication system; support Telemedicine and Telestroke consultations as available
- Assist with patient transports and escalation to higher levels of care as needed; apply ED protocols and ESI triage actions
- Maintain readiness for trauma, STEMI, and stroke transports; follow unit procedures and hospital policies
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the United States (ability to obtain Vermont licensure or hold active license)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS, TNCC required; TNCC or proof of class with date applied must be in packet; NIHSS required prior to start
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of in-unit RN experience; 2 years in the ED or equivalent specialty; at least 1 prior travel assignment
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Ability to work in a high-volume ED, including rural or CAH settings; flexible with holiday requirements
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; eligible to sit NCLEX and obtain RN licensure
