Travel Sleep Technologist Job
Sleep Technologist – Sleep specialty in Utica, New York. This travel, temporary assignment starts June 1, 2026 and runs for an estimated 13 weeks. Expect a weekly pay range of $1,768–$1,929 with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Schedule is a 3x12 Night Shift (6:30 PM–7:00 AM) in a hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Conduct overnight sleep studies, including diagnostic polysomnography and ongoing patient monitoring.
- Set up, calibrate, and maintain polysomnography equipment; apply and adjust sensors and leads.
- Monitor physiological signals, respond to alarms, and ensure patient safety throughout the study.
- Score and document sleep data, maintain accurate patient records, and assist with study preparation and wrap-up.
- Collaborate with the Sleep Disorders Center team, physicians, and technicians to ensure quality care and accurate results.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and facility policies; maintain equipment hygiene and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Licensure: New York State licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner with NBRC registration or New York State licensure as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
- Certification: NBRC registry or NYS Polysomnographic Technologist licensure.
- Education: Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; or related allied health training with enrollment or completion of A-STEP Online Self Study Modules or CAAHEP accredited sleep technology training program, END program, or respiratory therapy add-on track for sleep technology.
- Experience: Two years of experience with patients, laboratory studies, or closely related field (or equivalent).
- Ability to work in a Sleep Disorders Center/hospital setting and participate in a nocturnal shift schedule.
