Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated NICU nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; coordinate care with other disciplines while applying critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Document care plans, monitor patient status, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team; ensure continuity of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor for adverse reactions and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Educate patients and caregivers; provide support and guidance to families within the home hospice context; participate in discharge planning when appropriate.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards; maintain accurate charting and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 3x per week schedule
- Willingness to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting
- Availability for a 13-week contract
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
