Travel Registered Nurse Oncology Job
Registered Nurse – Oncology (Outpatient Infusion) travel assignment in Glens Falls, NY. Start date 06/11/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,368–$2,462 per week. Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts (typical options 8:00–16:00, 8:30–16:30, or 9:00–17:00). Hospital-based outpatient infusion center focusing on intravenous therapies and specialty medications. Responsibilities
- Administer IV therapies including antibiotics, antifungals, steroids, IVIG, and hydration; monitor patient responses and manage infusion reactions per protocol
- Care for central venous devices (PICC lines, implanted ports) and maintain peripheral IV access; place and manage lines as appropriate
- Prepare, administer, and monitor specialty medications (e.g., Remicade, Actemra, Rituxan) per orders; ensure correct dosing and documentation
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication self-administration when applicable, and safety precautions; provide discharge instructions and follow-up guidance
- Document all care and observations in the electronic health record; collaborate with the oncology team to coordinate infusion schedules and patient care
- Ensure compliance with safety, aseptic technique, and medication handling policies; participate in onboarding and ongoing de-escalation training as required
Requirements
- Active New York RN license (NYS) and ability to practice in NY; Nursys verification preferred
- 2+ years current experience in outpatient oncology infusion
- Chemo Certification (ONS) and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) required
- Peripheral IV insertion experience; Port/Fistula/Catheter management experience required
- EPIC experience required; IV certification highly preferred
- NY Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration must be uploaded with profile; 14-panel drug screen to be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance; completion of de-escalation training (Welle CPI PMCS) required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to work in a hospital-based outpatient infusion setting
- BSN preferred; prior travel experience preferred
