Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations and deliver evidence-based therapy to residents.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans addressing communication disorders and swallowing difficulties.
- Conduct dysphagia assessments, recommend dietary modifications, and collaborate with dietary and nursing staff for safe feeding.
- Document evaluation results, progress notes, and treatment plans in the medical record to ensure regulatory and payer compliance.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning and care transitions; provide resident and family education as appropriate.
- Participate in care conferences and quality improvement activities to support person-centered care and outcome measurement.

Requirements
- Active Maryland State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification: CCC-SLP/ASHA credential preferred or eligible.
- Relevant experience in acute care or skilled nursing/long-term care settings preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a long-term care facility environment and participate in a short-term travel assignment.
- Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills with an emphasis on interprofessional teamwork.
