Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to a patient group on a telemetry unit, following established standards of care and the nursing process
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, perform assessments, and document findings accurately
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members and communicate patient needs during handoffs
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff as applicable
- Educate patients and families, advocate for patient safety, and ensure smooth transitions between shifts
Requirements
- Active RN license to practice in California
- Experience or strong familiarity with telemetry (tele) unit care
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week (3x12 schedule)
- Comfort working in an inpatient telemetry care setting
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
