Travel Registered Nurse Orthopedics Job
Registered Nurse – Orthopedics in a 10-bed unit focused on post-operative ortho, ortho trauma, and total joint care. Location: Pocatello, Idaho. Start date: 07/20/2026. Duration: Weeks. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Weekly pay: $1,462–$1,558 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. This travel assignment is in an inpatient orthopedic care setting with interdisciplinary support and Epic charting.

Responsibilities
- Provide registered nurse care for adult patients on the orthopedics unit, including post-operative and trauma cases.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications (including IV therapy and PCA management), and perform routine assessments with timely escalation as needed.
- Maintain wound care, surgical drain management, peripheral/central line care, and assist with feeding tubes as appropriate.
- Conduct perioperative and post-op care tasks, including neurovascular checks, pain management, mobility support, and safety measures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transport, Rapid Response) to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Document care and progress in the designated electronic health record (Epic preferred) with clear, accurate notes.
Requirements
- Active RN license: State or Compact license must be in hand at time of submittal (Idaho or compact state).
- Experience: Ortho experience required; minimum 1 year RN experience; previous charge experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS (as listed).
- Education: Registered Nurse degree/license (per standard RN requirements).
- Skills/setting: Proficiency in ortho-focused nursing care, ability to work in an inpatient orthopedics unit, and fit for 3x12-hour night coverage.
