Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – West Virginia travel assignment in Fairmont. Start date May 18, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranging from $1,433 to $1,488 with guaranteed hours of 35 per week. Shift is 08:00–16:30, 5x8 days. Setting: long-term care (nursing home).

Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services within a multi-disciplinary team to residents in a long-term care setting
- Assess residents’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans focusing on Activities of Daily Living, mobility, strength, endurance, and safety
- Implement therapeutic interventions, document progress notes, and adjust plans based on ongoing assessment and observations
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to improve independence and safety in daily activities
- Ensure treatment is delivered safely and in compliance with professional standards, regulations, and facility policies
- Collaborate with OT/therapy colleagues, nursing staff, and other disciplines to support care goals and transitions of care
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in West Virginia or eligibility for licensure in the state
- Graduation from an accredited OTA program (Associate degree)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- 1 year of experience as a COTA, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing settings
- Ability to work effectively in a long-term care environment and to maintain accurate documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills; comfortable working with a diverse resident population
