Travel Physical Therapy Assistant Job
Physical Therapy Assistant needed for a 13-week travel assignment in a long-term care/nursing home setting in Jersey Shore, PA, US. Start date: 04/20/2026. Weekly pay range: 1,661 - 1,762 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 08:00–16:30, five days per week (5x8).

Responsibilities
- Provide PTA-directed interventions under PT supervision for residents in a long-term care setting.
- Perform gait training, mobility work, balance activities, transfer training, and ADL-focused therapeutic exercises.
- Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans; document resident progress and outcomes.
- Monitor patient response to therapy and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team.
- Promote safety during treatments, transfers, and use of therapy equipment; observe and report any changes in condition.
- Support discharge planning and coordinate with team for home exercise programs and caregiver education.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Pennsylvania or eligibility for licensure in PA.
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the assigned shift.
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred.
- Ability to travel and commit to a 13-week assignment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; Professional documentation accuracy.
