Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor respiratory status of assigned patients; interpret findings and adjust care as prescribed.
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies, including oxygen delivery, inhaled medications, and airway clearance techniques.
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; ensure proper device safety, sanitation, and documentation.
- Document treatments and patient responses in the chart; communicate changes with the nursing and medical team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to develop and implement patient care plans; participate in care team rounds as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to perform respiratory therapy procedures in a skilled nursing facility environment.
- Comfortable working a 5x8 day shift (08:00–16:30) with guaranteed hours as part of the contract.
- Effective communication and teamwork with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Prior experience as a Respiratory Therapist is preferred; travel or long-term care exposure is a plus.
- Willingness to complete assignment for the 13-week duration and comply with facility policies and procedures.
