Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care for adults on a telemetry/step-down service, with emphasis on rhythm monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
- Care for post-cardiac cath/surgical patients and pacemaker/AICD care, following unit and facility protocols.
- Administer medications and vasoactive infusions as permitted by policy; monitor patient response and adjust as directed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Work) to support optimal outcomes and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic charting system and perform fundamental wound care and lines care (peripheral/central/PICC as appropriate).

Requirements
- Active Missouri RN license or valid compact license; MO license submitted or verified per compliance; IL license in hand required at submittal if applicable.
- ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Minimum 2 years RN experience in telemetry/step-down; travel experience preferred.
- Relias EKG test completed prior to start.
- Weekend coverage every other weekend; float within the service line; on-call not required.
- Ability to work in an acute care setting with adult patient population; knowledge of HF, ACS, arrhythmias, and basic respiratory support modalities.
- Vaccination: flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed); COVID-19 vaccine not required.
- RTO limits: up to 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week; all RTO must be approved at submission.
