Travel Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT) needed in Mattoon, Illinois. Start date 05/18/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,939-$2,054 per week. Guaranteed hours 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Hospital setting delivering comprehensive respiratory care to diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities
- Perform evaluations and administer prescribed respiratory care therapies per physician orders and protocols.
- Assemble, check function, troubleshoot, and correct malfunctions of respiratory equipment.
- Assess overall cardiopulmonary status and collect pertinent clinical information; monitor patient responses to therapy.
- Maintain airway care, including artificial airways, and manage secretion clearance to support ventilation.
- Explain care plans and therapy goals to patients; document communication and progress; adjust plans as needed.
- Respond to emergencies by initiating, modifying, or continuing respiratory care techniques as appropriate; collaborate with the care team.
Requirements
- Active Illinois Respiratory Care License
- NBRC Certification (RRT)
- Cerner EMR experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (AHA)
- Neonatal/Pediatrics and adult critical care experience; Emergency Department experience; experience with all patient populations
- Minimum 2 years of RRT experience
- Ability to work in a hospital setting with rotating (nights) schedule
- Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment location (facility will not consider local candidates)
