Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job
Registered Nurse - Med Surg Tele travel assignment in Trenton, New Jersey. Start date: April 28, 2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,972–$2,120 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: night shift, 3x12-hour blocks from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This hospital-based travel role requires float coverage within Med Surg Tele, including ED holds as needed. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for Med Surg Tele patients, including telemetry monitoring
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications and IV therapies per hospital policy; document administration
- Chart and update patient records in Cerner EMR; ensure accurate and timely documentation
- Floats to MST units and ED holds as needed; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, fall prevention, and discharge planning
Requirements
- Current RN license in New Jersey or a Compact state; active at submission
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent Med Surg Tele MST experience
- Vaccination: Flu vaccine required (no declinations accepted)
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a float pool, with shifts assigned as needed
- EMR: Cerner experience or familiarity for charting
