Responsibilities
- Perform basic and critical respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients as ordered by the physician and in accordance with department policies.
- Administer respiratory therapies and monitor patient response, adjusting plans as needed.
- Document activities in the electronic medical record, flow sheets, and charges for each patient.
- Work with minimal supervision and, as delegated, supervise other staff or team members.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
Requirements
- Ability to perform respiratory care interventions in an acute-care setting for adult and geriatric patients.
- Proficiency in documentation in electronic medical records and related systems.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate with physicians and other care providers.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts (12-hour nights) on a travel assignment.
- Eligibility to participate in a travel assignment in the United States; must meet program requirements.
