Responsibilities
- Administers ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians.
- Delivers treatments under the guidance of department physicians and treatment plans.
- Verifies patient identification and treatment parameters prior to administration.
- Documents treatment delivery and patient responses in the medical record.
- Maintains patient positioning and safety within standard treatment protocols.
- Adheres to radiation safety policies and infection control guidelines.
Requirements
- Active California license to practice radiation therapy or ARRT RT certification (preferred).
- Educational requirement: Associate or bachelor’s degree in radiation therapy or related field.
- Certification: ARRT Radiation Therapy certification preferred; BLS/CPR as applicable.
- Experience: 1+ year of clinical radiation therapy experience preferred for travel assignments.
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and comply with safety standards.
