Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic mammography exams and screening as ordered by the physician.
- Operate mammography equipment and adjust settings to produce high-quality breast images.
- Prepare for and assist the Radiologist during intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
- Educate patients about the exam, promoting privacy, comfort, and adherence to infection control guidelines.
- Produce diagnostic-quality films and complete required documentation; disseminate patient preparation instructions to care areas.
- Maintain accurate patient information in the department records and EMR (Epic EMR) as part of clinical workflow.
- Elevate questions, problems, or significant challenges to more senior staff as needed.

Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Licenses/ Certifications: CA Radiologic Technologist (RT) license; Radiologic Technologist (RT) and Mammography Technologist credentials required in CA; ARRT-R and ARRT-M certification required in CA; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
- Additional certifications: Mammographic Radiologic Technology (MRT) certification required.
- Experience: Experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred.
- Other: Ability to work in a hospital diagnostic imaging department; ability to adhere to a 4x10-hour shift schedule.
