Registered Nurse – ER (ER RN) travel assignment in Hermiston, Oregon. Start date 07/13/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $2,038–$2,079 per week. Guaranteed hours 36 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days. Setting: ER in a rural, critical access hospital.

Responsibilities
- Conduct patient triage and initial assessments on arrival; determine priorities and care needs
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids per physician orders; perform emergency procedures (e.g., wound care, splinting) as required
- Continuously monitor vital signs and patient responses; adjust interventions accordingly
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff; document care in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and follow-up care; advocate for patient rights and preferences
- Respond to rapid response calls and code blue events; maintain infection control and participate in quality improvement activities
- Support unit staffing needs as assigned; may be floated to other departments where clinically qualified
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Licenses: Current registered nurse license in the State of Oregon
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required
- Experience: None required; prior clinical experience desired
- Additional: Ability to work in a fast-paced ER environment; 12-hour shift capability; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; continuous standing and walking; effective communication with diverse patient populations
- Additional note: CRASE training may be required if the travel assignment extends beyond 6 months
