Responsibilities
- Assess patients on admission using interview techniques to obtain past medical history, current status, vital signs, labs, imaging and other diagnostics
- Develop and implement a written care plan under the direction of a physician, coordinating with the care team
- Deliver direct patient care, administer medications, monitor responses, and adjust care as needed
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, document nursing notes, and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care; promote safety and adherence to care plans
- Ensure infection control, patient safety, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic med/surg–telemetry environment
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or a Compact License
- Bachelor’s degree required
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification required
- Approximately 3 years of nursing experience preferred, with strong Med Surg and Telemetry background
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts; capable of functioning effectively in a busy inpatient setting
- Strong mathematical/analytical skills and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
