Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents.
- Implement evidence-based OT interventions to improve activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, and safety.
- Monitor progress, adjust goals, and document outcomes in the facility’s electronic health record.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including nursing, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and social work to support discharge planning and care transitions.
- Provide education to residents and families on safety, adaptive equipment, and strategies to maintain function.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies while maintaining quality of care.

Requirements
- Active Maryland Occupational Therapy license or eligibility to obtain licensure per state requirements.
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings is preferred.
- Ability to participate in a travel assignment and fulfill a 19-week contract with guaranteed hours.
- Proficiency with standard documentation and electronic health record systems.
- Commitment to working within the facility’s policies and credentialing processes.
