Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic MRI examinations following established protocols and safety guidelines
- Prepare patients, position them correctly, and monitor for comfort and safety during imaging
- Operate MRI equipment, adjust sequences, and optimize image quality for accurate interpretation
- Adhere to radiation safety and contrast administration policies; monitor for adverse events
- Collaborate with radiologists and other radiology team members to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
- Participate in quality improvement activities, patient satisfaction efforts, and program workflow optimization
Requirements
- Active MRI licensure/permit as required by Georgia state regulations
- ARRT MRI certification or eligibility
- BLS certification
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program
- Ability to work in a hospital radiology department and adapt to MRI protocols
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
