Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in the ICU, including monitoring vital signs and responding to rapid changes in patient status
- Administer medications, monitor IV infusions, and adjust therapies per physician orders and protocol
- Manage ventilated patients, adjust ventilator settings as prescribed, and collaborate with respiratory therapy
- Conduct ongoing patient assessments, document findings, and participate in care planning with the multidisciplinary team
- Support patient safety and infection control standards, including aseptic technique and charting
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health care team; document care plans and rounds participation
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia (or eligibility to practice in the assignment state)
- ICU/critical care nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3×12 schedule)
- Must live 80+ miles from the facility (assignment requirement)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Effective teamwork and communication abilities; able to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
