Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU, travel assignment available in Utica, NY. Start date June 22, 2026 for approximately 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,353-$2,395 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 Nights. Work setting involves an ICU unit with a 42-bed footprint, including Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma care. Local candidates may be considered at local rate, with travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU, including monitoring of vitals, invasive lines, and post-operative status
- Manage hemodynamics, administer medications, adjust treatments per protocol, and operate or supervise devices such as ventilators and CRRT (Prismaflex)
- Monitor neurological status (NIHSS), coordinate neuro assessments, and participate in neuro-focused interventions as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacists, and case management) to develop and adjust care plans; document accurately in EPIC EMR
- Respond to changes in patient condition, implement escalation protocols, and participate in rounds and rapid response activities
- Floating required to all units within the ICU spectrum as needed, with exceptions noted for Behavioral Health or ER (per unit policy)
Requirements
- Active New York RN license with Nursys verification; all active RN licenses must be clear
- ICU/ICU-related experience: minimum 2 years required; 4–5 years preferred; travel experience required
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS current
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- RTO (time off) must be included at time of submission
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Ability to work in an ICU setting with floating to other units as needed
