Travel Registered Nurse NICU Job
Registered Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Utica, New York. Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications, IV therapies, respiratory support, and assist with ventilator management and feedings as ordered
- Collaborate with neonatology, nursing, respiratory therapy, and supporting staff to ensure patient safety and quality care
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, perform routine NICU procedures, and participate in rounds and care planning
- Document in the Epic EMR accurately and promptly; communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team
- Assist with patient transfers and discharges as appropriate; float to related units if needed per unit policy
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York
- 3+ years NICU experience, level II/III experience preferred
- BLS and NRP required at time of submission; PALS and STABLE required prior to start
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in an 8-week assignment
- Willingness to float to MB, pediatrics, or adult floors if needed
Education
