Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: 08/03/2026 for a 13-week, travel temporary assignment. Weekly pay: $2,265–$2,414 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Work in a 162-bed short-term acute care facility with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and county-designated trauma center.

Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, including emergency situations.
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with epidural catheter placement; monitor fetal and maternal status during and after administration.
- Assess maternal and fetal well-being, amniotic fluid status, vaginal bleeding, and identify and respond to perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia).
- Develop and execute multidisciplinary care plans, coordinating with the health care team to meet patient and family needs.
- Manage labor pain control and educate patients and families about perinatal and post-partum care.
- Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice; document care accurately.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course (IFMC)
- Department-specific certifications: Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or AWHONN, and AHA/ARC-BLS and AHA/ARC-ACLS as applicable
- Ability to work in a perinatal/L&D setting and respond to obstetric emergencies in a timely manner
