Responsibilities
- Operate and manage imaging equipment across multiple modalities regularly, including X-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine and/or mammography as assigned.
- Ensure high-quality images through proper patient positioning, immobilization, technique optimization, and adherence to radiation safety standards.
- Support department goals by contributing to efficient workflow, patient throughput, and accurate image documentation for interpretation.
- Maintain patient comfort and safety in a home healthcare environment, coordinating with caregivers and clinical teams to meet care plans.
- Perform routine equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and report maintenance needs to the appropriate team; uphold infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with radiology staff to ensure accurate exam orders, scheduling, and radiologic quality assurance practices.
Requirements
- Active licensure/credentials required by state regulations for radiology professionals.
- Certification appropriate to imaging modalities (e.g., radiologic technology credentials) and/or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Experience operating imaging modalities in clinical or field settings; ability to perform imaging across multiple modalities (minimum three regularly).
- Ability to work in a home healthcare setting and travel to patient locations; flexibility to support rotating 4x10 shifts.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient positioning, image quality assurance, and documentation standards.
