Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for procedures, ensuring sterile technique and availability of supplies and equipment
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, maintaining counts, and anticipating needs during cases
- Operate and assist with robotic systems when applicable, and support equipment setup and break-down
- Position and drape patients as directed; assist with exposure, suction, and achieving optimal surgical access
- Manage instrument turnover, restock supplies, and assist with room turnover between cases
Requirements
- Experience in orthopedic, neuro, robotic, vascular, general, urology, or gynecologic procedures
- Ability to work days and participate in on-call requirements
- Comfortable functioning in a fast-paced operating room environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique and instrument handling
