Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered nursing care in the Emergency Department per the nursing process and established standards of care.
- Perform triage, ongoing assessment, monitoring, and medication/treatment administration as ordered.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members; supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
- Document care accurately and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team; advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Maintain infection control practices and safety standards; support patient and family education and discharge planning as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- BLS Certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- ER nursing experience preferred
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced ER setting
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
