Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, coordinated nursing care for assigned telemetry patients according to standards of care and the nursing process
- Monitor patient status and telemetry data; respond promptly to alarms and changes in condition
- Develop and implement individualized care plans; evaluate patient progress and adjust as needed
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of nursing staff on the unit; delegate tasks appropriately
- Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary team members and other disciplines
- Document care, outcomes, and safety measures; maintain accurate and timely records
Requirements
- Active registered nurse (RN) license
- Ability to work nights on a 12-hour shift schedule (3x12)
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and general nursing care for a high-acuity patient population
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience in a busy hospital setting preferred
- Must be able to work in the listed location in Simi Valley, CA
