Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct segments of treatment programs to restore and improve physical, social and functional abilities, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Deliver therapy interventions using established protocols and techniques appropriate to the patient’s goals.
- Establish discharge and follow-up plans, ensuring clear communication with patients, families, and care teams.
- Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
- Supervise assigned assistants and students as appropriate; maintain a safe and compliant clinical environment.
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required; only if obtained license on or after January 2016 or foreign equivalent.
- Physical Therapy licensure in the state of practice: Required.
- CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required.
- At least two years of recent PT experience: Preferred.
- Current nursing license per the state of assignment: Required.
- Ability to work in a short-term acute care hospital setting.
