Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department | York, Maine | Travel assignment starting 05/18/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,932 to $2,047 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Schedule is 3x12-hour nights (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with occasional 1:00 pm–1:30 am shifts as census and needs dictate. No on-call required. This is a hospital-based ED position requiring active Maine RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS certification; PALS is a plus. Previous charge and preceptor experience is required.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department for adult and geriatric patients, including rapid assessment and stabilization
- Triage, monitor, and document patient status; develop and execute appropriate care plans in collaboration with the medical team
- Administer medications, IV therapies, wound care, and other ED procedures as appropriate; operate and monitor ED equipment
- Manage patient flow and priorities, support physician orders, and coordinate with ancillary services (radiology, lab, respiratory, etc.)
- Serve as charge nurse when assigned, and act as a preceptor/mentor for new staff and rotating team members
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and ensure compliant timekeeping and shift handoffs
Requirements
- Current active RN license in the State of Maine
- BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS certification is a plus
- Prior charge nurse and preceptor experience required
- Ability to work nights and potential variable shifts in a high-acuity ED environment
- Education aligned with state RN practice requirements
