Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized outpatient treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercise, gait training, manual therapy, and modalities as appropriate.
- Reassess progress, adjust plans, and document outcomes in patient records.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, activity modification, and injury prevention.
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate discharge planning and follow-up needs.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and equipment readiness in the outpatient setting.
Requirements
- Active California Physical Therapist license.
- BLS (AHA) certification.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university in physical therapy (or degree in a related field).
- APTA membership is preferred.
- Ability to work in an outpatient physical therapy setting and meet the schedule for a day shift.
