Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients using the nursing process
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status; respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and wound care; monitor for adverse reactions
- Float to all med-surg areas as needed; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality of care; advocate for patient needs
- Document in the electronic medical record per policy and unit guidelines
Requirements
- Active RN license with Nursys verification; licensure in Georgia or eligibility to practice
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical RN experience
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- EPIC EMR experience or willingness to learn and use EPIC
- Ability to float to all med-surg areas as needed
- Candidate profile must include: resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, certification card, Nursys license verification; load demographic information into profile, including badge-appropriate photo
