Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including monitoring and responding to changes in patient conditions.
- Float between two medical-surgical/telemetry units and provide coverage for MS overflow in ICU and ED as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications, perform routine assessments, and implement care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Document clinical care in EPIC, maintain accurate records, and ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and health care team members; respond to emergencies and escalate as appropriate.
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control practices, and patient privacy regulations.
Requirements
- Active registered nursing license in Hawaii
- EPIC electronic medical record experience
- Ability to float between MS/Telemetry units and MS overflow coverage in ICU and ED
- Availability for a 13-week assignment starting 08/17/2026 with nights shift
- Comfortable working in a hospital setting and adapting to a travel assignment
- Meets typical travel staffing requirements for temporary assignments
