Travel Clinical Nutrition Clinical Dietitian Job
Clinical Dietitian (RD/RDN) – Fortuna, California – Start 06/15/2026 – travel assignment for several weeks – $1,776–$1,863 per week – no guaranteed hours – Shift: 5x8 Days – Hospital setting. Orientation provides 40 hours at sites in Eureka and Redwood with cross-facility float. This is a first-time traveler assignment; COVID-19 vaccine not required.

Responsibilities
- Conduct nutrition assessments and reassessments; perform NFPE as indicated
- Manage enteral nutrition (tube feedings) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
- Interpret and implement therapeutic diet orders; address nutrition therapy complications and refeeding syndrome
- Diabetes management (including insulin therapy, DKA), renal disease, and fluid/electrolyte management
- Wound/pressure-care nutrition planning; address malnutrition and critical-care considerations (e.g., vasopressor patients)
- Provide pediatric through geriatric nutrition care; address tube feeding/TPN and oral intake issues
- Conduct and support food safety audits as required
Requirements
- Active California license required; RD or RDN credential
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nutrition experience
- Epic charting experience required
- Ability to float between Eureka and Redwood campuses (~20 miles apart)
- Evidence of ability to work in a hospital setting; orientation completion and pre-start modules
- RTO restrictions up to 7 days; willingness to work 2 of the 3 major holidays
- COVID-19 vaccine not required
Education
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required; CA license valid for practice
- Completion of relevant dietetics education program as part of credentialing
