Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and newborns across Labor, Delivery, Postpartum, and Neonatal Care
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, assess labor progress, and administer medications per policy and physician orders
- Assist during delivery, support the mother and family, and participate in postpartum and newborn care
- Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
- Float to med-surg and ED units as needed to support unit operations and patient safety
- Educate patients and families on newborn care, recovery, and discharge planning
Requirements
- Active Vermont RN license at time of submission
- AHA BLS and NRP certifications
- Minimum 1 year of labor/delivery/postpartum/newborn (LDRP) experience
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Ability to float to med-surg and ED units as part of assignment
