Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department, including triage, primary assessment, priority setting, and ongoing monitoring of patients of all ages
- Lead and collaborate with the care team; delegate tasks appropriately and ensure patient safety, comfort, and timely interventions
- Administer medications, perform appropriate invasive and non-invasive procedures, and initiate treatments per ED protocols
- Educate patients and families, prepare for diagnostic procedures, and coordinate post-emergency care and referrals
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly; communicate with physicians and other team members to optimize care
- Uphold infection prevention standards and a healing environment; address psychosocial needs and maintain open, compassionate communication with patients and families

Requirements
- Current New York State RN licensure
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (Must be AHA or RQI)
- Two years of acute hospital RN experience; at least one year in an ED environment
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with active licensure; ability to work in an ED/acute care setting
- Flexibility to participate in rotating day/night/holiday coverage and on-call shifts
