Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care in the perioperative setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; coordinate and delegate nursing tasks while meeting established Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon in perioperative care for patients undergoing surgical procedures; function as RNFA within facility policies and guidelines.
- Demonstrate leadership and professionalism in the perioperative role; collaborate with the health care team to ensure patient safety, quality, and continuity of care.
- Document patient status, monitor for complications, and maintain sterile technique and infection control throughout perioperative care; support communication and handoff with the surgical team.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (or eligibility to practice in California)
- Perioperative nursing experience preferred; RNFA experience is advantageous
- Ability to work in a perioperative/hospital setting with rotating 10-hour shifts
- Strong communication, teamwork, and competency in patient-focused perioperative care
