Travel Physical Therapy Assistant Job
Travel Physical Therapy Assistant position in Lanham, Maryland. Start date 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed hours 35 per week with a shift pattern of 08:00–16:30, five days per week. Weekly pay range $1,537–$1,656 per week. Setting: skilled nursing facility. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist within a skilled nursing setting.
- Implement and adjust treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, range of motion activities, gait training, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADL) training.
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the supervising PT and care team.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care; maintain accurate records and adhere to facility policies.
- Ensure proper equipment use, hygiene, and infection control during therapy sessions; assist with scheduling and session flow as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing setting under supervision of a licensed physical therapist
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to meet guaranteed hours and adapt to travel assignment requirements
- Willingness to comply with all job-specific licensure and certification requirements as determined by state and employer
