Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical patients on an acute unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Administer medications and IV therapies; monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the multidisciplinary team; document care in the electronic health record and contribute to care planning
- Maintain patient safety and comfort with infection prevention, wound care, drain/tube management, and falls prevention
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, procedures, and post-discharge care; coordinate discharge planning and referrals
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia (or eligible for Georgia licensure)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Ability to work 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 12-hour day shifts on a 12x3 schedule
- Must be available to work two major holidays and one minor holiday (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day as options; minor holiday examples include the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve)
