Overview
Registered Nurse (Med Surg) – Atlanta, GA, United States. Travel assignment starting 11/02/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,597–$1,685 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 Nights. Setting: hospital—high-acuity surgical/trauma med-surg unit expecting EPIC documentation and coordinated handoffs from the ED.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care to adult patients on a high-acuity surgical/trauma med-surg floor, including post-op and trauma cases.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, and adjust care plans based on evolving conditions; perform regular nursing assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely care, initiate and participate in nurse handoffs between ED and admitting units, and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Document thoroughly in EPIC, maintain accurate charting, and ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and clinical policies.
- Support patient rounding and ensure appropriate care coordination with phlebotomists, unit secretaries (night shift), and other support staff; maintain a 5:1 patient ratio as applicable.
- Respond to emergencies, participate in care planning, and advocate for patient and family needs.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Med Surg/trauma specialty
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Willingness to work night shifts; no block scheduling
- Ability to work in a high-acuity surgical/trauma setting and to collaborate with ED-to-admitting handoffs
